The booking process usually takes just a few minutes. Once you submit your reservation request, the host has up to 24 hours to respond. Instant Book listings, however, confirm your booking immediately.

Booking Questions
Yes, you can request changes to your pending reservation by contacting the host directly before they confirm your booking. Once confirmed, changes may depend on the host’s approval.
You can cancel a reservation request by going to the reservation details page and selecting the “Cancel Request” option. No charges will apply if your request hasn’t been confirmed by the host.
You can check the status of your reservation by logging into your account and navigating to the “Dashboard”>”My Listings”>”My Bookings” section. Here, you’ll see if the request is pending, confirmed, or canceled.
For most bookings, you’re charged once the host accepts your reservation request or immediately if it’s an Instant Book listing.
Help on your reservations
If your host cancels the reservation, you’ll receive a full refund. You’ll also have the option to rebook a similar listing, and in some cases, we offer additional compensation for last-minute cancellations.
If you forgot something, contact the host as soon as possible. Hosts may be able to help retrieve your items or arrange shipping, but this will depend on the situation.
If the host hasn’t responded within 24 hours, it’s best to consider other options. You can send a message to the host, but if you’re on a tight schedule, Instant Book listings may be a better choice.
